Delivering a clearer understanding of value concepts in beef production will be the focus of the 2017 Shorthorn Beef National Conference in Dubbo on July 11-12.
Guest speakers will also explore new opportunities for genetic evaluation and genomic systems, and showcase the carcass and eating quality of the Shorthorn breed.

There is a first class list of national and international speakers who will present on a range of topics from Plate to Paddock beef production to the Value of Brands as well as the new DEXA technology applications and Value Based Payments systems for the Australian Beef industry.
For Shorthorn Beef producers, and those that are interested to learn more about the International Genetic Solutions (IGS) genetic evaluation system, Mahdi Saatchi, lead Genomicist for IGS will be attending the conference to answer your questions.
A dinner will also be held on the Tuesday night, at the Commercial Hotel, 161 Brisbane Street, Dubbo, NSW where attendees will have their chance to try the JBS Australia Thousand Guineas Shorthorn branded beef product.
Ticket costs for the Shorthorn Beef National Conference is $88 per person. Ticket costs for the Gala Dinner will be $77 per person and feature a 2 course meal.
