F1 Wagyu steers from Taroom, QLD made top dollar on AuctionsPlus with the 10 to 16 month olds weighing in at 251 kg and making 543c/kg or $1,360.
Cows and calves presented well with the top line making $2,250.
Hailing from Mungindi, QLD, the 3 year old Angus cows have 79kg calves at foot and haven’t been joined.
Another stand out line of cows and calves hailed from Swan Hill, VIC. This line of 4 to 6 year old Shorthorn cows and calves made $2,000. The cows are joined back to Shorthorn bulls and have 80kg calves at foot. Well done to vendors ‘RW & SJ Hall’.
PTIC female numbers were dominated by Queensland listings with scattered NSW listings in the mix.
The top priced line was found in Geurie, NSW for rising 2 year old Angus heifers that made $1,620. PTIC to Angus bulls, the heifers are making the 1,000km trek to Penola, SA to enjoy the warmer months ahead.
A line of 3 to 4 year old Angus heifers from Maclagan, QLD made $1,380. The heifers are PTIC to an Angus bull and are staying in the Sunshine State.
A line of Angus backgrounder steers from the same vendor also sold well – aged 10 to 14 months and weighing 221kg, they made 377c/kg or $850.
Walgett, NSW was home to another top line of steers this week. Aged 10 to 14 months, these Angus steers weighed 304kg, returning 342c/kg or $1,040.
These steers are bred from Te Mania blood cows, by Te Mania bulls, from the vendors Buchanan Pastoral Co.
