Pastures and feed base to be covered at Grasslands

NSW-cattle--9Invest and Grow is the theme of the 2017 Grasslands Society of Southern Australia annual conference on September 6-7 at Mitchelton Wines, Nagambie.

 

The program has a strong focus on new information for dry land farming, including presentations from six farmers who are putting new ideas into practice.

Speakers have been engaged from Western Australia, New Zealand, Canberra, South Australia and Victoria.

Presentation will embrace themes covering pastures and feed base, soils, rick management plus livestock grazing and performance.

The bus tour includes local farmers focusing on wool, lamb and beef production, as well as hay in the dry land northern Victorian crop/pasture region.

Registration includes lunches, morning and afternoon teas for two days, a breakfast, bus tour of two local farms and the conference dinner.
