Camlou Goldchip Aphrodite tops sale at $16,000

MidfieldThe Legends of Leader ‘Final Chapter Sale’ was as expected ‘presentation perfect’.

Master Breeders Travis and Melissa Deans of Oakey, Qld dispersed their herd from week old calves to 10 year old cows to Breed enthusiasts from all over Australia.

Sale top of $16,000 was paid for the VG 86 1st lactation heifer, Camlou Goldchip Aphrodite (Imp. ET. USA) a daughter of Ernest Anthony Aphrodite EX 95 the dam of 3 EX 94 daughters, this tremendous young cow was purchased by Somerelle Holsteins of Victoria.

These same buyers also selected Leader Damion Silky VG 86 (2 yo) backed by VG 87 dam then 3 gens EX at $6000.

Second high at $9,000 was lot 1, Leader Shottle Sadie VG 89 a daughter of DD Satin 5th gen EX, she was purchased by Tim Downie of Forbes, NSW.

The classy 7 month old heifer Leader Dempsey Cretonne, a daughter of Toowoomba Champion Damion Cretonne EX 92 sold at $5900 to T & L Northfield of NSW. The recently scored EX 91 cow Leader Damion Silk sold at $5750 to M Hassett of NSW

Many breeders were full of praise for the 7 month old Leader Solomon Sharni bred from the famed Rockridge S family, she sold at $5250 to S & J Sieben of Victoria.

Also at $5250 was Leader Sanchez Cretonne VG 89 selling to Mitch Holsteins of Victoria. Peter Price also of Victoria selected the super dairy young cow Leader Acme Sheen VG 86 at $5200.

The last lot in the sale was Leader PS Satin VG 88, STP, this 9 year old was the closest to foundation cow Toolamba Broker Satin, EX 29 SBC being a direct grand daughter and sold at $5000 to P Menzel of Pittsworth, Qld. This same buyer also selected the high selling bull, Leader 450 Dempsey a 7 month old son of Damion Cretonne at $4500.
