Angus cow sashed supreme exhibit at Melbourne

Pine-CreekThe Angus breed made their mark in Melbourne winning two interbreed champions, two reserve champions and the overall Supreme Exhibit.

The Supreme exhibit of the show went to the Fuller Family’s PC Miss E99 Foreman J181, with a 6 month old bull calf at foot. This year has seen the cow already sashed supreme Angus exhibit at the Sydney Royal and champion interbreed cow at the Adelaide Royal.

Prior to being awarded the Supreme Champion, the cow and calf unit were awarded the Supreme Senior Beef Female Award, as well as Senior and Grand Champion Angus Female and Supreme Angus Exhibit.

Standing Reserve to the cow in the interbreed senior female class was ‘wildcard’ entry T&R Jewel J6 exhibited by RDM Angus.

An Angus heifer, Hollywood Miz Scarlett M18, won the interbreed heifer class. The heifer was bred by and entered under IC&LE Frecklington, Hollywood Angus, Peak Hill NSW, but led by Sam Parish, Mass Angus, Dubbo, NSW, who purchased the heifer just before the show.

The Angus breeders group, exhibited by Pine Creek Angus group was awarded Reserve Champion in the Interbreed breeders group.
