Andes Aftershock Glamour tops dispersal at $10,500

dairy-sale-11The first stage Complete Dispersal Sale of the long established Andes Holstein and Eurarie Jersey Spring calved herds of Charles and Carolyn Smith of St Germains, North West of Undera saw strong demand from dairymen from all parts of Victoria along with South Australia and Southern NSW.

Sale top of $10500 was paid for Andes Aftershock Glamour, a 4 year old backed by the USA Glo family, she was purchased by J & C Gardiner of Avonlea Holsteins, Cardinia. These same buyers also selected Andes Damion Iris and Andes Million Daphne at $4200 each.

Second high seller at $10000 was Rockwood Park Glauco Spottie, VG 86 backed by generations of high production selling to RB & JM Templeton of Tarwin.

Next high seller at $8750 was the deep pedigree cow Andes Shottle Whynot 2, VG 88 selling to N,M & J Staley of Yarram.

High selling Jersey was Eurarie TB Princess 2, backed by 6 generations of EX cows and sired by T Bone, she sold at $7100 to R & J Easterbrook of Tatura.

Next high selling Jersey was Eurarie Country Velvet, a lovely uddered cow selling to L & J Anderson of Kings Vista Jerseys, Athlone at $4000.

M & L Fisher of Nathalia purchased the classy heifer Rockwood Park Maxwell Papoose at $5000 along with Andes Glauco Colonial, VG at $4200.

Local breeder Josh Romano paid $4600 for Andes Damion Rascal, Vg bred from the famed Spring Farm Rose family.

Other noted sales included Andes Rich Rose 3 at $4100 to K Trimby of Katamatite, Andes Game Rosemaid, VG at $4000 to T & K Hogan and Andes Pontiac Lime, VG 88 also at $4000 to C & F Bills of Drouin South.
