A large crowd was at the Echuca selling Centre for the Complete Dispersal Sale of the milking herd of Mick & Judy Jones of Kyabram.
This high quality herd was backed by 50 years of AI and were milking over 35 litres.
Sale top of $3700 was paid for an outstanding 1st lactation heifer by Impression from a Shottle dam, she sold to L Prout of Kerang, the same buyer also paid $3100 for a 3 year old 2nd lactation cow also by Impression.
J & A Cipriani of Tongala were strong buyers, included in their buys were a 4 year old Fever cow at $3100 and a 2 year old Ginjack at $3000.
Others to sell at $3000 were lot 26, a 2 year old Impression, lot 38, a 2 year old Beacon, lot 46, a 4 year old by Fever and lot 50 a 4 year old Aftershock daughter.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report 116 cows av $2227.
Buyers were from throughout Northern Victoria along with the South East of South Australia.
