The Blue Ribbon Invitation Limousin Sale will take place at 11.00 am on November 18 at the Allora Showgrounds.
This will be the 10th year for the sale which over the years has produced many show champions, within both the stud cattle and the led steers that have been sold, including an Interbreed Champion Female at the Ekka 2015 who had been purchased as a heifer at the Blue Ribbon.
It is not only the cattle that have been sold themselves that have been successful, but also their progeny as shown with a Reserve Senior Female Champion at this year’s Ekka, who is the daughter of a heifer that was purchased at one of the earlier Blue Ribbon Sales.
Whilst numbers are down a bit this year due to the extended dry period leading into the sale, the quality is outstanding with all the animals presented not only more than capable of holding their own in the showring, but also offering exciting opportunities to breed on and produce outstanding progeny.
The vendors have put a top line up of cattle together including many prospective show heifers, embryo & semen packages and a couple of young bulls.
The led steers have been broken in to tie up, taking some of the hard work out of getting ready for the show ring. There are also two young commercial heifers on offer that are destined to breed show steers.
