Developing a plan for farm water requirements

Farm-damWould you like to better understand your farm water requirements and develop a plan for your current and future water needs?

If you would then get along to Agriculture Victoria’s farm water planning workshop in Creswick on Tuesday 5 December.

Agriculture Victoria Land Management Extension Officer Heather Field said the workshop will help you develop a comprehensive understanding of your farm water requirements and provide you with the knowledge and tools to start planning an efficient farm water reticulation system.

Topics covered will include;

  • How to calculate the current and future water requirements of your farming enterprise
  • Understanding water supply limitations and options to improve farm water security
  • Understanding basic reticulation principles
  • Preparing a farm water plan using a simple computerised mapping program.

When: Tuesday 5 December, 2017
Where: Mount Prospect District Tennis Club, 21 Bridge Street, Creswick
Time: 9:15am – 3:30pm
