Sam Hunter, Agstock sold 25 Angus x Steers on behalf of WT Jones & Partners, Brungle to a top of 295c/kg, av 431.8kg, $1273.66ph.

Light restocking steers sold to 360c and heifers 318c/kg while medium weight feeder steers eased 7c, selling between 280c to 316c, to average 303c/kg at SELX this week.

Numbers eased and the quality was back slightly. Yearlings made up the bulk of the yarding and most sold to feeder orders.

Grown heifers were well supplied and there was a reduction in a mixed run of cows. Not all the usual buyers operated in a mostly cheaper market.

The feeder heifers eased 2c, ranging from 277c to 289c, and re-stockers paid to 298c/kg. Trade cattle were very limited and ranged from 275c to 310c/kg.

Grown steers averaged firm but the run of steers was younger and sold from 248c to 281c/kg.

Most of the grown heifers sold 6c to 11c cheaper with lighter 2 tooths to feed selling to 260c/kg. Most of the older and heavier weights sold from 230c to 250c/kg.

Light cows to re-stockers went against the trend, selling much stronger, to reach 234c/kg. Heavy cows were 1c to 3c cheaper, ranging from 215c to 232c, and averaged 221c/kg.
