This top price went to a line of Crawford & Bongongo blood Angus Cows from Yass, NSW.
These cows are 27 to 28 months old, weigh 486kg and have been rejoined back to Crawford Angus bulls.
After the rainfall over the past week, cattle numbers increased by 2,647 head for a total listing of 13,152 head.
Considering the increased numbers, clearance remained steady at 53% and prices moved around a bit over the steer and heifer weight ranges.
Numbers were also supplemented by the 26th Annual IRA Pemberton Weaner and Breeder Sale, which listed 1,501 head.
The IRA weaner and breeder sale is the annual sale of independent agent and assessor Colin Thexton from Pemberton, WA.
With 40 registered users and 41 guests logging into the sale, this real showcase of what a single man band can do with the right skills and tools at hand.
Vealers averaged $1,111 and topped at $1,276

This top price went to a line of Te Mania Angus cows and calves from Tooma, NSW. These cows are 3 to 3.5 years old, weigh 492kg and have been rejoined to Te Mania Angus bulls.
The Angus calves at foot are 5 to 12 weeks old and weigh 101kg. Proven breeders averaged $1,868 and sold to a top of $2,530.
This top price went to a line of Te Mania blood Angus cows and calves from Mansfield, VIC. These cows are 3 to 5 years old, weigh 555kg and have been joined back to Te Mania Angus bulls. The Angus calves at foot are 12 to 20 weeks old and weigh 146kg.
Other cow and calf highlights include a line of Santa Gertrudis/ Hereford cows and calves from Glencoe, NSW which sold for $2,150. These cows are 2 to 6 years old, weigh 509kg and have been rejoined back to an Angus bull. The Angus calves at foot are 4 to 12 weeks old.
Another stand out line is a line of 10 to 15 year old Murray Grey cows and calved from Wellington, NSW which sold for $1,815. These old girls are by Woodbourne and Waroona blood and weigh 597kg and have been rejoined to Murray Grey bulls. The calves at foot are 2 to 4 months old and weigh 158kg.
PTIC heifers averaged $1,594 with a top price of $2,300. Young PTIC cows averaged $1,816 and sold to a top price of $2,350.
Proven breeders averaged $1,463 and sold to a top of $2060. All 3 top prices went to A/c Tonga Station, Mansfield, VIC.
Tonga Station are a Team Te Mania member and have been using the Te Mania bulls since 2000. Heifers are 27 to 28 months old and weigh 583kg. Young cows are 4 years old and weigh 704kg. Proven breeders are 5 years old and weigh 724kg.
Another highlight includes a line of Angus/ Hereford cows from Omeo, VIC which sold for $1,700. The cows are 3 to 5 years old, weighing 566kg and have been PTIC to Angus bulls.
