They are aged 3.5 – 4.5 years and are PTIC to Angus bulls, weighing 554kgs. Looking to QLD, a line of 99 Droughtmaster cows & calves made $1,240, joined to Santa Gertrudis bulls, from account WM & KL Burton at Barcaldine.

Cows & calves this week had a total listing of 560 head, mostly out of Western Queensland, averaging $1,393 and topping $1,600.

This top price went to a line of 46 Santa Gertrudis Cows & Calves from account P C Crossley Co at Moulamein, NSW weighing 510kgs. A line of 19 Angus cows & calves made $1,570, from account PT & NK Marshall in Clifton, QLD weighing 531kgs.

Looking to WA, cattle numbers fell slightly, totalling 84 head, down 167 head from last week. Despite the drop in numbers 100% clearance was achieved, reaching a top price of $1,970 and an average of $1,608.

The top price went to a line of Simmental/Angus steers & heifers from Balingup, weighing 776kgs. Congratulations to the vendors C & R Vinciullo. Another stand out from WA was a neat line of mixed sex Angus yearlings from Northcliffe, weighing 520kgs and selling for $1,414 or 525c/kg from account JM & DA Macdonald, CM Iverson & Blue River Grazing.
