Five-year-old Angus cows PTIC to ‘Ozzie’ Angus bulls made $1,370. Weighing 586kgs from account ‘Greenock Partnership’ Forbes, NSW.

Joined females were in supply this week with a total of 2,263 head offered, up 1,660 head on last.

PTIC and joined heifers averaged $1,179 to reach $1,555, this top price was for a small line of Angus heifers, PTIC back to Angus bulls. Aged 22 to 24 months and weighing 546kgs, congratulations to vendors ‘Tamaroo Angus’ Cygent, TAS. ‘G & J Waldon Pty Ltd’ at Scone, NSW offered 138 Angus heifers and sold for $1,300. These heifers are 20-24 months old, PTIC to ‘Eaglehawk’ Angus bulls.

Cow and calf unit numbers remained steady this week, a total of 407 head were offered. 2 lines of Droughtmaster cross cows and calves aged 4 to 13 years sold for an average of $1,010, with calves at foot weighing 148kgs by Charolais & Brahman bulls. This week numbers in Tasmania were strong, almost 500 head were offered across 24 lots. 200-300kg steers averaged $1,004/265c and reached a top of $1,080/392c for a few lines of weaned Angus steers.

Weighing 275kgs aged 6-7 months, congratulations to vendors ‘Stonehouse Grazing’ Oatlands, TAS. The same vendor reached the top price for 200-300kg heifers also, weighing 236kg which made $710/236c.
