PTIC cows averaged $1,248, selling to a top of $1,560 on AuctionsPlus last week.
Top price went to a line of 5 year old Te Mania blood Angus cows, weighing 521 kg, PTIC to Bongongo Angus bulls from Adelong, NSW.
Joined females were again a plenty this week as producers are still looking to value ad to their females while destocking with over 2,000 head offered.
PTIC heifers topped at $1,380, to average $1,166. Top price was achieved by a quality line of vendor bred heifers by Rennylea & Kilburnie sires. The heifers were 21 – 22 months old, weighing 451kg, PTIC to Angus bulls, congratulations to the vendors WM & LK Nixon of ‘Merriwa Park’ Merriwa, NSW on the sale.
Cow and calf units were in tight supply this week with only 5 lots offered for auction.
The top price of $2,000 which well exceeded the reserve, went to a line of station mated Angus cows and calves.
The cows, weighing 479kg, aged 27 – 30 months old were joined to a Hazeldean Angus bull with Angus calves at foot, sired by a low birthweight Lawson Angus bull. The 3 way combos will be heading west to Ballarat from Nicholson, VIC, congratulations to the vendors ‘LT Rijs’.
