Decent listings out of NSW boosted numbers and prices averaged $1,192 and reached a top of $2,000.

This top price was for two small lines of 3-5 year old Angus cows from Gilgandra, NSW, account ‘Kidman Angus Stud’.

Rising 2 year old PTIC Angus heifers from Skipton, VIC averaged $1,020, these heifers are joined to Weatherly Angus bulls.

Looking to Alpha Queensland, 2 lines of Santa Gertrudis station mated cows made $660, aged 4-11 years from account ‘Barcaldine Downs Pastoral Company’.

Station mated Speckle Park Cows with CAF made $1,400, aged 4-7 years from Marrangaroo, NSW.

Cow and calf numbers were down this week with just 165 head offered, with prices ranging from $1,210 to $1,960 and averaging $1,616.

This top price was for Angus heifers and calves from Naracoorte, SA, aged 25- 26 months, from account ‘PG McCallum Farm Trust’.

A line of Brangus/ Angus NSM Heifers and calves from Glen Innes, NSW sold for $1,210 and are headed to Casterton, VIC, account ‘Nugent Grazing Co’.

Our weaner and yearling sales will be running weekly from now on, this week saw a total of 5,100 head offered, down 539 head on last week with 75% of listings coming out of NSW. Weaned heifer prices ranged from $390 or 195c/kg to $850 or 275c/kg and averaged $588.

Poll Hereford/Hereford heifers from Barraba, NSW made $630 or 247c/kg, from account ‘Bowen Pastoral Company’.

Weaned steer prices ranged from $450 or 238c/kg to $1,035 or 318c/kg and averaged $723. This top price went to a line of 105 Angus steers from Bethungra, NSW.
