Murdeduke blood heifers and calves sell to $1800

These PTIC Angus cows, four years, from Gippsland, sold for $1840 on AuctionsPlus.

From Winchelsea, VIC a line of Angus cows and calves sold for $1,800 on AuctionsPlus last week.

These cows are rising 2 year olds and weigh 418kg. The 1 to 3 month old calves at foot are by Murdeduke Angus bulls.

From the same vendor but coming from Weering, VIC a line of Angus cows with Murdeduke Angus calves at foot, also sold for $1,800.

PTIC female highlights include a line of Angus and Angus cross heifers from Armidale, NSW which sold for $900.

These heifers are aged 20 to 21 months, weigh 358kg and are PTIC to Bald Blair Angus bulls. From Coolac, NSW a line of Reiland blood Angus cows, sold for $1,405.

These rising 6 year old cows weigh 574kg and are PTIC to Angus bulls. A line of 4 year old, Coolana blood Angus cows from Anderson, VIC sold for $1,840.

These cows weigh in at 578kg and are PTIC to Adameluca Angus bulls. Finally, from Dunalley, TAS a line of 10 to 11 year old, PTIC Angus cows sold for $1,030.

Cow and calf highlights include a line of Santa cross and Shorthorn cows and calves from Acland, QLD which sold for $1,170.

These cows are aged 2 to 11 years, weigh 436kg and have been depastured to Charolais, Angus and Santa bulls.

The calves at foot are aged 1 to 4 months and weigh an average of 125kg.

 

A line of 6 year old Angus cows and calves from Barnawartha, VIC sold for $1,600. They have 2 to 4 month old calves at foot at by The Scotts Angus bulls and weigh an average of 134kg.

Special mention to Cobungra Station from Omeo, VIC who offered a total of 1,164 head, with a break up of 657 steers and 507 heifers.

All lots were priced to sell, with all lots selling for an average of $91 above reserve. Steers sold from 301c to 346c and averaged 324c while the heifers sold from 240c to 307c and averaged 280c.
