These heifers are aged 22 to 35 months, weigh 480kg and are PTIC to Angus bulls. From Skipton, VIC a line of 142 rising 2 year old Angus heifers, weighing 373kg and PTIC to Angus bulls sold for $950.
PTIC Cows sold from $1,140 to $1,480 to average $1,343. From Gilgandra a line of Charolais /Hereford cows, aged 4 to 6 years, weighing 609kg and PTIC to Limousin and Charolais bulls, sold for $1,400.
Cows and calves this week sold from $1,100 to $1,610 to average $1,383. The top price went to two lines of Maine- Anjou cows and calves from Brocklesby, NSW.
The first line of 12 head are 3 years old and weigh 531kg. The Angus calves at foot are 2 to 3 months old and weigh an average of 99kg. The second lot of 8 head are 4 years old, weigh 630kg with 100kg calves at foot.
A line of Angus/ Angus cross cows and calves from Glen Innes, NSW sod for $1,330. These cows are 3 years old, weigh 442kg and have been depastured to Angus bulls. The Angus calves at foot are 4 to 5 months old and weigh 156kg.
From Barraba, NSW a line of Angus and Hereford cows and calves sold for $1,110. These cows are aged 6 to 10 years, weigh 482kg and have been depastured to Angus bulls. The calves at foot are 3 to 5 months old and weigh 128kg. Both lots are travelling interstate to Rolleston, QLD.
Moving west, out of Broome a line of 489 Brahman cross bulls, aged 7 to 12 months, weighing 187kg sold for 180c/kg. Also, a line of 246 Brahman cross bulls, aged 8 to 14 months, weighing 257kg sold for 180c/kg. A line of Friesian slaughter cows from Northcliffe, aged 2 to 7 years, weighing 243kg dressed sold for 383c/kg.
