PTIC heifers sold from $765 to $1,500 and averaged $994 on AuctionsPlus last week.
Young PTIC cows sold from $1,055 to $1,295 to average $1,173. PTIC proven breeders sold from $695 to $1,700 to average $1,093.
Highlights included 170 PTIC heifers and cows, offered by ‘JI & LC Noller’ Injune, QLD. These females have been bred from Palgrove, Moongool and Gunnadoo bloodlines. 33 heifers aged 22 to 26 months, weighing 440kg sold for $1500. Cows averaged $1,190 and sold to a top of $1,350.
Other highlights include a line of 11 Santa Gertrudis cows offered by ‘Ian Mitchell & Co’, Aramac, QLD. These cows have been bred from predominately Eyriewald Stud bloodlines, aged 5 to 8 years, weigh 512kg and are PTIC to Santa bulls.
Cow and calf numbers halved from last week for a total offering of 596 head. First calvers averaged $1,312 and topped at $1,665.
This top price went to a line from ‘Knyvett Partnership’, Coolah, NSW. These Angus cows are 2 years old, weigh 440kg and have not been rejoined.
The Angus calves at foot are aged 2 to 3 months and weigh 94kg. Young cows and calves averaged $1,211 and topped at $1,960. ‘Big Star Speckle Park Stud’, Hillston, NSW who offered the topped priced lot, a line of 3 to 4 year old Speckle Park / Santa cows, weighing 584kg and have been depastured to Speckle Park bulls.
The Speckle calves at foot are aged 5 to 6 months and weigh 176kg. Older cows and calves averaged $813 and topped at $960.
This top price went to ‘Caralga Pty Ltd’, Rockley, NSW who offered a line of unjoined Hereford cows, aged 3 to 8 years which weigh 500kg and have 4 to 8 week old Angus calves at foot.
Looking to the west a line of Lawson blood Angus heifers, 20 months old, weighing 297kg dressed sold for 497c or $1475. Angus cows, aged 5 to 9 years, weighing 370kg dressed sold for 390c or $1443. Angus bulls, aged 5 to 6 and weighing 558kg dressed sold for 340c or $1896.
Finally, a line of predominately Friesian and Friesian cross heifers and cows, aged 40 to 85 months and weighing 239kg sold for 372c or $888.
