These organic and PCAS eligible steers sold for $740.

The lighter end of steers on offer had plenty of value on AuctionsPlus, with 1,340 head offered, weaner steers averaged 230kg and 277c/kg.

This was seen in a line of 114 Droughtmaster and Droughtmaster cross steers out of Richmond, North QLD.

They averaged 250kg and were sold for $615/hd or 246c/kg on farm. Their older heavier brothers also achieved top dollar with these 332kg yearling steers receiving $725/hd or 219c/kg on farm.

Another notable line of Angus/Freisian steers from Blumont, TAS, brought $1,040 or 295c/kg live.

These steers weighed 352kg and were 12 to 17 months of age. A line of heavy feeder steers out of The Branch, NSW, were sold for $1,110/hd or 335c/kg on farm. These steers were 15 to 19 months of age and weighed 428kg.

A limited offering of joined cattle this week. A highlight out of Ballandean, Southern QLD, was a small lot of 20 Angus PTIC Heifers that sold for $920 on farm.

Cow and Calf units were offered out of QLD, NSW and VIC this week with 474 head offered. The average price was $1,188/hd, $10 back on last week.

A line of Angus cross heifers out of Blackall, QLD were sold for an outstanding price of $1,250.

The top price this week went to a line of Poll Hereford cows out of Tamworth, NSW, which brought $1,570.

To further endorse the current value of Cow and calf units, a small lot of 9 Charolais Cows, 3 to 5 years old were sold for $1,250 out of Willaura, VIC.

Unjoined heifer prices eased this week with weaner heifers averaging 232c/kg and yearling heifers averaging 257c/kg.

They also dominated the listing of weaners with 1,522 head offered. Top price was received by a small lot of 25 Angus weaner heifers from Bugaldie, NSW. These heifers returned $800/hd or 268c/kg.
