The heifers are 16 to 21 months, are PTIC back to Santa Gertrudis bulls and are heading to Quilpie, QLD. PTIC cows sold from $1,050 to $1,580 and averaged $1,232.
The top price went to 56 Angus cows from Murrumbateman, NSW. The cows are 6.8 – 6.9 yrs, are PTIC to Angus bulls and are on their way to Holbrook, NSW.
Cow and Calf units were in short supply, with 701 head offered. Prices ranged from $1,240 to $1,890, averaged $1,546 achieved a 50% clearance.
The top price went to 58 PTIC Angus cows & calves from Bairnsdale, VIC. The cows are 5 years old and weigh 682kgs with the 5-7 month old CAF averaging 321kgs.
This weeks Weaner & Yearling sale had 10,083 head listed, doubling last weeks offering. Weaner steers averaged 312c, up 17c on last week, with a top of 388c.

Yearling and grown steers averaged 298c with a top of 323c, up 19c on last week. The top price went to 105 Angus feeder steers from Grong Grong, NSW.
The steers are 12-15 months old, averaged 335kgs and are on their way to Coolah, NSW. Yearling and grown heifers averaged 260c with a high of 278c, up 17c on last week.
This top price went to a line of Angus/Hereford weaned heifers from Flinders Island, Tasmania. The region continues to exemplify strong prices, with this lot of 12-13 month old heifers, weighing 342kgs offered by account GA & J Allott finding a buyer in Tasmania.
