From Bungendore, NSW a lot of 26 Angus cows sold for the top price. These Hazeldean & Onslow blood cows are rising 6 years, weigh 593kgs and are PTIC to Angus bulls.

This line made up a total of 58 Angus cows, offered as a herd dispersal from ‘Ryrie Rutledge Pastoral Company’, Bungendore.

A line of 15 Red Angus cows, from Dalby, QLD sold for $800. These cows are 2-5 years, weigh 445kgs and are PTIC to Red Angus bulls. From Moree, NSW a line of 39 Santa Gertrudis cows returned $1,090. These cows are 4.5-7.5 years, weigh 562kgs and are PTIC to Angus bulls.

PTIC heifers sold from $650 to $1,200, averaging $950. The top price was returned by a line of 46 Angus heifers from Armidale, NSW.

These heifers are 20-21 months, weigh 463kgs, and are PTIC to Wagyu bulls. From Seymour, VIC a line of 19 Angus heifers sold for $960.

Weighing 386kgs, these heifers are Lawsons blood, 30-32 months, and are PTIC to Angus bulls. While from Mundubbera, QLD a line of 27 Brangus heifers sold for $1,000. These heifers are 19-32 months, weigh 365kgs and are PTIC to Brangus & Angus bulls.

‘Kilburnie Angus’ Walcha, NSW offered 48 HBR joined females in the Eastern States sale. Returning the top price of the sale was a line of highly sought after 12 Angus cows which achieved $2,500.

These cows are rising 3 years, weigh 514kgs and are PTIC to Angus bulls. Another highlight saw a line of 21 PTIC Angus heifers, 18-20 months and weighing 401kgs sell for $1,310.

Weaned steers sold from 229c to 320c, averaging 285c, up 45c on last week. From Springton, SA a line of 37 Angus steers sold for the top price. Weighing 235kgs, these steers are 6-9 months and will travel across the border to Hamilton, VIC.

‘Eurobodalla Pastoral Co’ St George, QLD offered a line of 63 Braford steers that returned 262c. These steers are 10-14 months and weigh 267kgs.

Weaned heifers averaged 256c, selling from 222c to 275c. The top price was returned by a line of 21 Angus heifers, A/c ‘Ryrie Rutledge Pastoral Company’, Bungendore, NSW.

Weighing 290kgs, these Hazeldean & Onslow blood heifers are 7-8 months old.

From Goondiwindi, QLD a line of 40 Poll Hereford cross heifers sold for 241c. These heifers are 257kgs and 8-10 months old.

Yearling heifers sold from 178c to 243c, averaging 215c. From Binjour, QLD a line of 35 Brangus cross heifers sold for the top price. These heifers are 16-20 months and weigh 306kgs.

While from Springsure, QLD a line of 94 Composite backgrounder heifers returned 238c. These heifers are 16-19 months and weigh 281kgs. The vendor also offered 2 other lines of 16-19 month old Composite heifers which returned 233c and 234c.

This week saw a single line offered in the WA Cattle sale. From Boyup Brook, ‘Wass Holdings’ offered a line of 37 Angus cross trade heifers which returned 476c/kg dressed.  These heifers are 24-28 months and weigh 482kgs.

Just shy of 500 head were offered in the TAS Cattle sale this week. The offering included 144 PTIC Angus cows from ‘Panshanger Estate’, Scopus.

These cows are Lawson Angus blood, aged 3-4 years of age and PTIC to Angus bulls. The 4 lots of 3 year old cows, averaged 563kgs all returned $1,490, while the 4 lots of 4 year old cows, weighing 630kgs sold from $1,430 to $1,450.

The vendor achieved a 100% clearance, and 75% of the offering will travel across to the mainland to Wangaratta, VIC.

Steers under 300kgs sold from 274c to 306c, averaging 290c. Returning the top price was a line of 7 Poll Hereford unweaned steers from Hagley. These steers are 8-12 months and weigh 274kgs.

From Upper Stowport, a line of 21 Angus cross backgrounder heifers sold for 261c. Weighing 405kgs, these heifers are 14-16 months old.
