The longest running annual Dairy Sale in Victoria, the 38th Ayrshire Fanfare Sale was again held at Camperdown by Breeders from throughout Victorian and SA.
Sale top of $3,200 was paid by Ferguson Farms of Toolamba for Geelunga Tsunami Loreal, a Winter calving grand daughter of noted Canadian cow Mapleburn Loreal, EX 93, she sold a/c long time vendor at this sale, Greg Edmonds of Meadows, SA.
The same vendor also sold Geelunga Ginger Bethany bred from the noted USA Palmyra Bethany cow family at $2,100 to O & C Hutchinson of Berrys Creek in Gippsland.
Second top sale of $2,750 was paid by Ferguson Farms for the very stylish Tasman Lodge Alaska Frosty, she sold a/c Greg Crowden of Meadows, SA.
The Intermediate Champion of the Fanfare Show Enterprise Burdette Gaiety 2nd sold at $2,250 to Boldview Farms of Kalangadoo, SA from M & L Hentschke of Glencoe, SA.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report 27 Ayrshires av $1,528. Buyers were from Northern Victoria, Gippsland and SA.
