PTIC heifers and cows once again dominated listings, making up 34% of total head offered on AuctionsPlus last week.

PTIC heifers sold from $750 to $1320 and averaged $1148, up $99 on last week.

The heifers have been joined to a Speckle Park bull, are 20-22 months old and found a buyer in Mount Compass, South Australia.

Grown and mixed age PTIC cows sold from $680 to $1,420 and averaged $1,100. Highlights include; 3-7 year old Poll Hereford cows from Dubbo, NSW selling to a buyer in Dandenong, VIC for $1,320; 4-10 year old Simmental/Brahman cows from Boonah, QLD selling to a buyer in Moura for $1290. Several lines of registered Droughtmaster cows & calves and PTIC heifers & Cows were offered by the Woodbine stud in Wowan, QLD.

Standout prices include 11 PTIC cows & calves making $2,250 and 10 PTIC cows making $1,900.

Steers weighing under 280kgs sold from 214c to 344c, averaging 271c, down 20c on last week.

Highlights include 109 Angus weaned steers aged 8-9 months, weighing 243kgs from Gundagai, NSW selling for 344c; 48 Angus weaned steers aged 6-8 months, weighing 158kgs from Mendooran, NSW selling for 319c; 80 Santa Gertrudis/Angus steers aged 6-9 months, weighing 270kgs from Jackson, QLD selling for 292c.

Steers weighing between 280kgs and 330kgs sold from 278c to 343c and averaged 306c. The top price went to a line of Angus weaned steers from Glen Innes, NSW.

The steers are 10-11 months old, weigh 319kgs and are heading to Black Mountain, NSW. Another highlight saw a line of Angus weaned steers aged 10-11 months, weighing 309kgs from Armidale, NSW for 296c.

Steers 330kgs and above sold from 301c to 335c and averaged 319c, down 9c on last week.

The top price went to a line of Angus weaned steers from Jugiong, NSW. The steers are 9-11 months old, weigh 350kgs and sold to a buyer in Blayney, NSW.

Another highlight saw yearling Angus steers from Baradine, NSW sell for 323c. The steers are 12-13 months and weigh 338kgs.

Weaner and yearling heifers sold well this week, to find a 71% clearance for the 1500 head offered. Light heifers weighing under 200kgs sold from 183c to 261c to average 216c.

From Nyngan, NSW, 34 Poll Hereford weaners weighing 128kgs made 262c. The heifers are 4-5 months and sold to a buyer in Narrandera, NSW.

Another highlight saw 50 Angus weaners from Jennings, QLD sell for 320c. The heifers are 7-8 months, weigh 175kgs and found a buyer across the border in Walcha, NSW.

Unjoined heifers weighing 200kgs-280kgs sold from 219c to 280c and averaged 251c. A line of 20 Red Angus weaners from Woodstock, NSW found the top price.

The heifers are 202kgs and are heading to Albury, NSW. Another highlight saw a line of 10 Speckle Park heifers, 10-12 months, weighing 278kgs from Halls Creek sell for 278c to a buyer in Stowport, TAS. Heavier heifers were highlighted by a line of Angus weaners from Nowendoc, NSW.

The heifers hit the scales at 349kgs and sold for 258c to a buyer in Berrima, NSW.
