Lighter heifers weighing 280kgs and under from 215c to 341c and averaged 259c, up 14c on the previous week on AuctionsPlus.

Highlights include; 44 Angus weaned heifers aged 10 to 11 months, weighing 148kgs from Adelong, NSW selling for 341c and 83 Red Poll/Droughtmaster weaned heifers aged 7 to 10 months, weighing 210kgs from Morven, QLD selling for 282c which will make their way to Forbes, NSW.

Heavier heifers weighing over 280kgs sold from 254c to 304c, averaging 276c, up 13c on last week. Highlights include; 50 Angus/Hereford weaned heifers aged 10 to 12 months, weighing 346kgs from Goondiwindi, QLD selling for 304c and 35 Simmental yearling heifers aged 14 to 16 months, weighing 310kgs from Inverell, NSW selling for 254c which will head to Gympie, QLD.

PTIC females were in short supply with 959 head offered, down 970 head on last week.

PTIC heifer prices remain on the incline reaching a top of $1,600, averaging $1,388. The top price was achieved by a line of 18 Angus heifers from Yass River, NSW.

These heifers are 25 to 26 months old, PTIC to a Bellengin LBW Angus Bull and will 1,100kms to Mount Compass, SA. PTIC cows sold from $810 to $1,610 and averaged $1,110.

The top price was achieved by a line of 31 Angus cows, A/C Tintaldra Station, North East VIC. These cows are 3 years old, weighing 519kgs and are joined to Ardrossan Angus bulls.

A line of 49 PTIC Shorthorn cows from Nyngan, NSW achieved a price of $995, these cows are 3 to 7 years and joined to Shorthorn bulls.

Cow and calf units were limited in the offering this week with 122 head offered, down 88 head. Prices ranged from $940 to $1,150, averaging out at $984.

The top price was achieved by a line of 12 Murray Grey/Fresian cows and calves, 5 to 6 years old with CAF sired by Angus bulls, from Second Valley, SA.

A line of 45 Poll Hereford cows and 38 calves from Dirranbandi, QLD will make a long trip south to Wodonga, VIC. These cows achieved a price of $940, are mixed age (3 to 9 years) with calves at foot sired by Sevenbardot Poll Hereford Bulls.

Steers weighing 280kgs and under sold from 242c to 358c, averaging 308c, up 8c on last week.

Highlights include; 84 Angus weaned steers aged 11 to 12 months, weighing 280kgs from Orange, NSW selling for 358c; 94 Droughtmaster steers aged 6 to 10 months, weighing 246kgs from Jericho, QLD selling for 308c; 200 Droughtmaster/Brahman weaned steers aged 6 to 9 months weighing 223kgs from Clermont, QLD selling for 301c and 37 Angus/Charolais weaned steers aged 10 to 12 months weighing 218kgs from Wee Waa, NSW selling for 297c.

Steers weighing between 280kgs and 330kgs sold from 300c to 363c and averaged 335c, up 27c on last week.

Highlights include; 61 Angus steers aged 10 to 11 months, weighing 313kgs from Hawkesdale, VIC selling for 363c; 76 Angus yearling steers aged 12 to 13 months, weighing 297kg from Cootamundra, NSW selling for 339c and 50 Shorthorn/Hereford yearling steers aged 10 to 12 months, weighing 317kgs from Merriwa, NSW sold for 300c.

Steers weighing 330kgs and above sold from 209c to 363c and averaged 308c, down 18c on last week.

Highlights include; 66 Angus steers aged 10 to 11 months, weighing 338c from Hawkesdale, VIC selling for 363c; 50 Angus weaned steers aged 11 to 12 months, weighing 389c from Cooma, NSW selling for 344c and 61 Simmental feeders steers aged 13 to 16 months, weighing 346kgs from Tamworth, NSW selling for 312c.
