Top selling lot at the recent Jimann Jersey Heifer Dispersal Sale at Echuca was Jimann Valentino Maisy, a smart two year old daughter of an EX 90 Mannix Rebel dam with records to 323 kgs fat.
She sold to Carole Swindlehurst of Bayles at $3,600.
Next high of $3,200 was another by the same sire, Jimann Valentino Stari from an EX 90 Impuls Legal dam, she was purchased by Brookbora Pty. Ltd of Tennyson.
Other noted sales included Jimann Valentino Mia from an EX 90 Ressurection dam at $2,400 selling to D & A Mathews of Dumbalk and Jimann Bontino Waterlily from a VG 88 Bowtie dam, she sold to B & L Rushton of Rochester at $2,300.
The 27 Spring calving heifers from T & J Campbell, Jimann Jerseys, Rochester av $1,925.
Also sold at this sale was a select line from P & K Burnett of Merrigum,
they included Stoneleigh Park Premier Rae from a VG 86 Astound dam selling to P & L Sprunt of Katunga at $1,800. Stoneleigh Park Excitation Buttercup also sold at $1,800, she sold to D Hourigan of Milawa.
The Ingoldale Holstein herd of J & D Gilmore of Yarrawalla sold a line of freshly calved heifers to a top of $3,200 for Ingoldale Sweet C Tanya, this lovely uddered heifer was backed by 9 EX & VG dams and sold to Ferguson Farms of Toolamba.
Ingoldale Logan Mary backed by 5 generations of VG dams sold at $2,500 to Moore Dairying of Katunga at $2,500.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report 50 Heifers averaged $1,775. Buyers were from Northern Victoria, Gippsland and Southern NSW.
