Jack Laurie, Knowla Livestock recently had the privilege of judging the steer, bull and heifer classes at the National All Breeds Junior Heifers Show.
At 20 years of age, Jack is believed to be the youngest person to judge at a National junior show, a title held by another Angus Youth Alumus in Marg Will.
Jack’s feat is a testament to programs like Angus Youth and the educational opportunities they provide.
In 2017 Jack was awarded the Champion Junior Judge at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Under Jack’s eye, Angus heifers had a clean sweep of the heifer classes at the All Breeds, with Calf champion, Kaytee Posh Lady in Waiting P3 shown by Kate Swain, Junior Champion, J & C Prue P80 shown by Sophie Halliday, Intermediate Champion, KO Vicky P66 shown by Angus Onisforou and Senior and Grand champion heifer, Anvil Kylie N427 shown by Casey Halliday.
