Angus Youth member Lilli Stewart will be heading to North America after being crowned the 2019 Matthew George Young Stockman Award winner at this years’ Royal Melbourne Show.
While Matthew supported the beef industry as a whole, his passion was for the Angus breed and to see MsStewart take out the award while Melbourne Royal was hosting the 2019 Incitec Pivot Angus Feature Show, was a special moment for the crowd.
Ms Stewart runs her own Angus Stud, Waterlilli Angus, Birregurra VIC and looks forward to heading overseas and believe inning this award is, ‘A fantastic opportunity to have a life changing experience.’
Ms Stewart has been a long time participant and supporter of Angus Youth and was integral in organising for a group pf Victorian Angus Youth members to attend and exhibit with their own heifers at the 2019 Angus Youth National Roundup in Armidale as part of Angus Australia’s Centenary Celebrations.
