Light steers under 280kgs sold from 181c to 341c and averaged 280c while the top price was returned by a line of 39 weaned steers from Mount Pleasant, SA on AuctionsPlus.

These crossbred weaners are 6 – 9 months of age, 230kgs, and will travel to Keith, SA. Steers weighing 280 – 330kgs received some stronger prices from last week selling from 251c to 356c and averaged 309c, up 22c.
A line of 103 weaned steers from Stonyford, VIC returned the top price. These steers are Oak Wells blood, 13 – 14 months of age, 285kgs and will travel to Camperdown, VIC.
Steers weighing 330kgs – 400kgs sold from 280c to 319c and averaged 304c, up 4c. The top price was returned by a line of 60 Angus steers from Oberon, NSW.
These feeders weigh 392kgs, are 12 – 13 months of age and will travel to Walcha, NSW. There was one line which tipped the scales in the 400kg plus category and that was for a line of 37 weaned Angus steers from Wagga Wagga which sold for 312c.
These Kennys Creek blood steers are 414kgs, 12 – 14 months of age and will remain locally.
Heifers under 200kgs sold from 207c to 279c, averaging 243c, down 6c. The top price was returned by a line of 72 Angus/Hereford/Charolais cross heifers from Bundarra, NSW.

Heifers 280kgs to 330kgs sold from 259c to 290c and averaged 278c, up 9c. The top price was returned by a line of 10 backgrounder heifers from North Scottsdale, TAS.
These Shorthorn/Murray Gray/Angus cross heifers are 293kgs, 12 – 13 months of age and will travel to Launceston, TAS.
Heavy heifers above 330kgs sold from 283c to 296c and averaged 290c. The top price was returned for a line of 23 NSM heifers from North Scottsdale, TAS. These Shorthorn/Angus cross heifers are 13 – 14 months, 334kgs and will travel to Launceston, TAS.
Cows with calves at foot where in high supply with 2500 head offered, with clearance remaining strong at 72%.
Prices increased by $93 to average $1,226, selling from $550 to $1890. The top price received was for a line of 37 cows & 37 calves from Penola, SA.
These Poll Hereford cows are 553kgs, 3.5 – 5.5 years old, Kerlson Pines blood and the calves at foot are sired by Poll Hereford and Angus bulls, 5 – 6 months of age and averaged 221kgs.
Other highlights include; 33 NSM cows & 33 calves from Jimbour, QLD return $1,140. These Angus/Santa Gertrudis cows are mixed ages, 497kgs and the calves at foot are sired by Santa Gertrudis and Angus bulls, 1 – 2 months of age and averaging 68kgs.
