The way forward will be the focus of discussion at AgForce’s forthcoming What’s Your Beef? industry forum being held on November 1 in the South Burnett.
The forum is an initiative of AgForce that will allow everyone involved in the Queensland cattle industry – AgForce members and non-members alike – to have their say in the industry’s future.
It is being held in conjunction with the AgForce Cattle Board AGM and will be hosted at Cardowan, the property of Board Director Alice Greenup and husband Rick at Kumbia, near Kingaroy.
Cattle Board President Will Wilson said the forum was a must-attend event for anyone who wanted to have a hand in setting the direction of the Queensland cattle industry.
“Discussion will focus on the opportunities and challenges currently facing the industry,” Will said.
“This will help set the agenda for the Cattle Board and is likely to have implications for all producers and others involved in the supply chain, whether industry or government, so all are encouraged to attend and participate.”
Will said attendees would also have a chance to hear from industry experts, such as MLA Managing Director, Jason Strong, and network with other producers.
The event will be held at 1563 Ironpot Road, Kumbia. It will kick off at 10:30am and include a complimentary working lunch.
Attendees are warmly welcomed to stay on for a BBQ and drinks from 5:00pm, with a chance to chat to the Leader of the Queensland Opposition, Deb Frecklington.
For catering purposes, those wishing to attend should please RSVP your attendance to AgForce Regional Manager Melissa Kimlin at kimlinm@agforceqld.org.au or via 0438 363 001.
