The long established Glen Meadow Illawarra herd of Barry and Rosie Warburton of Deniliquin, NSW recently staged their First Stage Complete Dispersal Sale at the Shepparton Selling Centre.
Sale top of $5250 was paid by Gippsland buyer Peter Price for the 2 year old Glen Meadow Jean 496, this tremendous young cow was from an EX 91, 3E dam and has an EX, 4E grand dam.
The same buyer selected other top lots including Glen Meadow Wallflower 652 a 4 year old from a VG 88 Now You See dam at $3250.
Second top of sale was Glen Meadow Fancy 727 an outstanding 4 year old from an EX 92 dam, she sold to B & J Dickson of Terang at $4250.
Another top lot was Glen Meadow Midge 2, a 6 year old from an EX, 3E dam selling at $4000 to S Kent.
Two other noted sales included the 5 year old Glen Meadow Beauty 83 from an EX, 2E dam selling at $3600 to G Meyland of Waaia. Glen Meadow Plum 771, VG 89 sold to C Ferrari of Princetown at $3500.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers were from Gippsland, Western Districts, Northern Victoria and South Australia.
