Fire affected beef producers are set to benefit from the generosity of aerial agricultural company, Rotor Solutions Australia.
The company, operated by Hugh and Monique Acton Adams, will offer $1000 worth of donated fertiliser spreading or weed spraying to a successful bull purchaser at the Reiland Angus sale on Wednesday, April 22.
Reiland principal Mark Lucas said bull purchasers needed to signify they have been fire affected to either Reiland Angus or their representative agent prior to the sale.
The winner would usually be drawn from a hat at the conclusion of the sale but will now be drawn or announced once all online buyers have been verified as fire affected.
Mr Lucas, an agronomist, said the impact of summer bushfires on productive pastures had been destructive, particularly on grass seed reserves.
He said farmers were now weed spraying, aerial seeding and spreading fertiliser following the widespread rain.
“We thank the generous support of one of the leading aerial agricultural companies to help fire affected beef producers,” he said.
The team at Rotor Solutions Australia spent 50 days fighting the Dunns Road blaze and are happy to be back in the ag seat.
The sale of 65 bulls will be interfaced with AuctionsPlus to allow people to bid from their own home.
