To win the Interbreed at Beef Australia is a major achievement. It is one of the most highly prized accolades in the Australian beef cattle industry with many of the very best cattle in the country lining up for the top honour.
The Job family’s achievement is believed to be only the second time a Shorthorn has taken out the trophy.
Trojan Shorthorns, Lyndhurst, NSW, also won Class 6 in the Beef Carcase Competition – Grain Fed – pen of three export chiller bullocks – 300 to 420kg. Trojan Shorthorns were up against 77 competitors in the class.
