The Yalcara Jersey Stud of Peter and Lyn Sprunt recently staged their Second Stage Complete Dispersal of all Spring calving Heifers.
Sale top was lot 1, Yalcara Valentino Silver, an outstanding type heifer backed by 7 direct gens of EX & VG dams, she sold to John Brian of Tongala. This same buyer also purchased Yalcara Valentino Althea at $4,500, a daughter of an EX 90 dam bred from the famed USA Althea family.
Second top price of $5,250 was Yalcara David Althea from a VG Vanahlem dam selling to Darryn Vale Jerseys of Millawa. The same buyers also selected Yalcara Sambucca Flower at $4,000. Third high of $5,000 was paid for Yalcara Valentino Gleam, a big roomy heifer from an EX Vanahlem dam bred down from Merriland Fair Glem (Imp.NZ) EX, she was selected by C & P MacKenzie of Jireh Jerseys in Western Victoria.
Wanstead Jerseys of R & A Heath paid $4, 750 for Yalcara Valentino Althea 2 and $4,250 for Yalcara Vlentino Flower a very correct heifer bred down from Verona Sultans Flower (Imp.NZ) EX.
Other noted sales included Yalcara Valentino Mansell from an EX dam at $4,500 to Kaarmona Jerseys. Yalcara Ahlem Vanilla at $4,250 to Jugiong Jerseys. Yalcara Joel Twig at $4,000 to J & S Rae of Allansford and Yalcara Ahlem Vashti also at $4,000 to A & C Coombes of Long Flat, NSW.
Selling agents Dairy Livestock Services report buyers were from all parts of Victoria, NSW and Qld, many buying through the online Elite Livestock Auctions.
