Holstein Breeders from throughout the North West consigned an exceptional offering of mostly Autumn calving young cows and joined heifers backed by tremendous pedigrees featuring high production and deep classification along with noted Sires at Echuca.
Sale top of $14,000 was for the great young cow, Gorbro Chief Robin, VG 85, due in early May with her 2nd calf to Sidekick. She had a 2 yo record of 375 kgs fat, PI of 113 and is grand daughter of the noted Stormatic Robin, EX 93, 7E cow, she was one of 9 top young cows sold by Gorbro Holsteins, she sold to Corra Lea Holsteins of Kerang.
Other noted sales from the Gorbro line included Gorbro 1stscore Posey, GP 84, a great uddered young cow from an EX Aftershock, she was purchased by Maxmount Holsteins at $6,000.
Gorbro Ramgill Tiffany sold at $5,500 to J Mungean of Timboon and Gorbro History Khazel, GP 84, the highest PI heifer at Gorbro for the season at $5,250 to Evan Nicholas of Biggara.
The buyer of the top selling lot selected several of the lead lots including Leighfield Jordy Luxe (Imp.ET) at $10,400 and her sister Leighfield Unstopabul Lagoon (Imp.ET) at $10,100, they are both from Blondin Destry Lagoon, VG along with Leighfield Unstopabull Lover (imp.ET) at $7,000, these were all sold by Courtney Buchanan. Corra Lea also purchased Vala Bighit Sallina at $5,200 and Vala Splendid Tiara at $5,000.
Other noted sales included Holloddon Beau Laura 2767-Red at $4,300 to R Collins of Rochester. Clydevale Doc Prague backed by 11 gens of EX & VG selling to B & L Windridge at $4,200. Clydebank Unstop Lasslo-Red at $4,100 to Beechwood Farms and Brindabella Saturn Super Cheerleader at $4,000 to R Glover.
