The long established Murribrook Holstein herd of Murray Sowter held the third Stage Complete Dispersal this time on their Wagga Wagga farm, Birubi.
Sale top of $21,000 was paid by long time Murribrook buyers AF Garratty P/L of Bolong, NSW for Murribrook Sidekick Cassie, this heifer due to Brayden-Poll is from a former Sydney Royal Junior Champion.
The same buyer also selected Murribrook Crushabull Poppy due with an embryo and bred from the noted Peggy family at $16,000.
Equal second top price of $20,000 was paid for Murribrook Sidekick Verbena, an August calving heifer bred to Alligator from many time Champion, Goldwyn Verbena, she was purchased by Hightop Holsteins of Congupna, Vic who already own the dam. Also at $20,000 was Murribrook Kingdoc Reba, a class heifer due in August with an embryo by sexed Doorman, this top heifer is from the EX 92 Windbrook Reba cow and was purchased by Hallyburton Farms of Cobden, Vic.
Many were loud in praise of Murribrook Sidekick Lauren, a heifer from a former Sydney Royal Junior Champion from the famous Lila Z family, she sold at $18,000 to B Glass of Gundowring, Vic. The 7 year old Cow Murribrook Goldwyn Cabernet, VG 88 backed by many gens of high EX dams sold at $15,000 to D Latham of Comboyne, NSW.
Many return buyers selected top lots including K & H Jones of Foster, Vic who paid $13,000 for Murribrook Unix Verbena, a daughter of the EX 92 Goldwyn Verbena cow.
Other noted sales included Murribrook Atwood Chloe, a daughter of Diamond Chloe, VG 89 (max) at $12,000 to P & C Castle of Allansford, Vic. Murribrook Sidekick Coco at $12,000 to Eloora Past Co of Blighty, NSW. Murribrook Kingdoc Rochelle a super uddered fresh calved heifer from an EX Goldwyn dam at $11,000 to Gorbro Holsteins, Cohuna, Vic and Murribrook Doorman Tilly from the EX 93 Goldwyn Tango cow at $10,000 to Westmuir Holsteins.
