Most exciting Wagyu beef brands recognised in competition

The heat is being turned this week in Brisbane as judging in the 2023 Wagyu Branded Beef Competition gets underway.

With 57 entries from across the country, the competition represents the best Australian Wagyu offers. Judged across five classes – Fullblood, Purebred, Crossbred, F1 and Commercial (Marble Score 5-7) – the competition is the only one of its type supported by an independent breed organisation.

The competition aims to recognise and reward the most exciting and innovative Wagyu brands.

At the same time, the competition recognises and pays tribute to the hard work and dedication of all those involved in the Wagyu sector, inspiring and promoting Wagyu as the World’s Luxury Beef.

Winners of the 2023 Wagyu Branded Beef competition will be crowned in a special dinner event at Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf in Sydney, on 19 April 2023, one of the many Wagyu events to be held during the Australian Wagyu Association’s WagyuEdge ’23 annual conference (April 19 – 24).
