Emily Perkins joins Shorthorn Beef as breed development manager

Shorthorn Beef has appointed Emily Perkins as the new Breed Development and Project Manager.

Emily is working directly with the board and members to deliver projects to enhance and develop the Shorthorn Breed within Australia. Emily is based in Holbrook, NSW.

Emily has tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness and Animal Production and most recently completed the Australian Rural Leadership Program.

She has experience across  many aspects of the supply chain including 14 years working with JBS in their feedlot division.

Emily was the Feedlot Manager at  JBS Prime City, where she managed the feeding of Shorthorn cattle for the Thousand Guineas program. She also has interests in commercial Shorthorn cattle.

Emily is excited to work with and get to know members. She is looking forward to working in conjunction with commercial and seedstock producers to develop and strength the Shorthorn supply chain.
