Beef Australia has launched two new international study tours, offering unique opportunities for participants to explore the best of the global agricultural industry.
These carefully curated tours will jet off in 2025 and will provide attendees with exclusive access to industry-leading practices, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural experiences.
Beef Australia CEO Simon Irwin said these initiatives align with the organisations commitment to being a world-class organisation that promotes, advances and celebrates a sustainable beef industry.
“Our inaugural Study Tour to the USA and CattleCon in 2023 proved there was an appetite for these kinds of tours and for us, it’s a great way to keep our community connected in between our triennial events”, Mr Irwin said.
“Our International Study Tour Program is designed to offer participants not just educational insights, but also the chance to network with industry leaders and peers from around the world.
“Structured around the 2025 Sommet de l’elevage and Canadian Western Agribition expositions, the ‘Essence of France’ and ‘The Best of Western Canada’ tours promise to deliver unforgettable experiences, combining professional development with the exploration of diverse agricultural landscapes and cultures.
“No matter what sector of the industry you are involved in, each of these tours will help you gain a new perspective on the beef industry, learn about new cutting-edge technologies and international trends, network and of course indulge in the respective country’s culture and beef culinary cuisine”.
Brahman producer and 2023 USA Study Tour attendee Megan Kent said her experience on the 2023 tour was invaluable.
“As someone starting to pave their own way in the beef industry, the Beef Australia USA Study Tour was the perfect opportunity for me”, Ms Kent said.
“Being able to travel in a group with other likeminded individuals was a real highlight and made the trip that much more enjoyable.
“The tour not only provided insight into the American agricultural industry, but it also got us behind the scenes of some of the largest ranches, put us in front of some of the country’s agricultural leaders, and gave us a front row seat to one of the largest expos in the country, CattleCon; experiences I couldn’t dream about doing on my own.
“The educational and networking opportunities were priceless, and the tour itinerary was truly suitable for anyone working in the beef industry”.
Essence of France: Beef, Bordeaux & Burgundy with Sommet de L’Élevage
Beef Australia’s International Study Tour Program continues with the 14-day ‘Essence of France’ land-based tour. Kicking off on the 3rd of October 2025, this tour is perfect for those interested in the best Europe has to offer.

Tour attendees will also visit the Lanaud Centre for Limousin Genetics, attend a live cattle auction and spend time in one of France’s premier wine regions, the Burgundy region.

Arriving into Calgary or “Cowtown” as the locals call it, this tour kicks off with a tour to a beef processing facility at Olds Agricultural College and journeying through the Rocky Mountains, meeting our Canadian Colleagues across family run practices before wrapping up in Regina at the Country’s largest livestock show, the Canadian Western Agribition.
