Cattle Australia announces board and regional consultative committee

Cattle Australia’s Board of Directors for 2025 – David Foote, Elke Cleverdon, Garry Edwards, Bryce Camm, George King, Adam Coffey, and James Bowie.

Cattle Australia has announced its 2025 Board and Regional Consultative Committee (RCC) at its Annual General Meeting in Tamworth, NSW.

Held at Bective Station as part of the organisation’s inaugural conference and producer day, Cattle Connect 2024, grass-fed beef producers from across the country attended the CA AGM both in-person and online to meet their 2025 representatives.

Two Elected Director positions were contested through the CA election process, with Adam Coffey from the North Australia Beef Research (NABR) Region and Garry Edwards from the South Australia Livestock Research (SALR) Region both re-elected.

Eight RCC positions were contested, with two representatives re-elected, five new representatives joining the committee, and one vacancy filled.

CA Chief Executive Officer, Dr Chris Parker, said the Board of Directors and RCC had achieved great things in 2024, with the new and re-elected representatives set to build on a solid foundation in the year ahead.

“Our Board of Directors has guided us through some significant milestones for the grass-fed beef sector and a few challenging moments for the broader agricultural industry since our last AGM, and the re-election of two Directors signals our members’ confidence in our Board’s ability to ensure the organisation is providing a visible, unified, and influential voice for grass-fed cattle levy payers,” Dr Parker said.

“The election of the inaugural RCC in 2024 was an important milestone in CA’s evolution as a democratic representative body, and we thank the outgoing representatives for their contributions to the organisation and the grass-fed beef industry.

“The incoming representatives bring with them a wealth of knowledge and diverse experiences across our dynamic sector, and we look forward to their insights helping us make an impact on the Australian grass-fed beef industry, now and for future generations.”
