The “I AM LIMO” campaign is a fresh approach aimed at bringing together a number of key innovative areas focussed on improving; the demand for Limousin infused cattle and the services provided to ALBS members.
Some key project areas included in “I AM LIMO” are-
Consumer Demand and Branded Beef Programs; Work with Strategic Partners to produce and promote a “Certified Limousin Beef” product.
Commercial Demand; Improve the visibility and recognition of our cattle and promote Limousin Assured.
Research and Development; Trials to demonstrate the limo advantage across the various production systems throughout Australia & NZ.
New Markets; Promote Limousin to export markets- live (stud & commercial) and genetics.
Member Services and Education; Continue to improve and develop ALBS services and products. Hold Workshops and Think Tanks.
The producer workshop held at Alexander Downs, Merriwa last week end was very well received. This workshop was a great example of what can be achieved by working with our strategic partners.
I would like to thank the Gill Family (Alexander Downs) for allowing us onto their property and access to their facilities. Speakers included Robert and Stephen Gill, owner- operator vertically integrated conception to consumption operation; Richard Neader, feedlot manager Windy Station; Jon and Karen McMahon, Eumundi Meats, Noosaville; Pat Ryan, Board member -Industry Engagement Committee.
