As of January 1, registered suppliers to the JBS Australia Thousand Guineas program will also be required to fill in a separate vendors’ declaration to send with the NVD form with their consignment of cattle to JBS Australia feedlots.
The vendors’ declaration provides a further verification of the breed content of the cattle consigned, to ensure that cattle are either pure Shorthorn content or minimum 75% content from British crosses only.
The new declarations are a further step to underpin the verification process for the Thousand Guineas brand in an ongoing commitment to ensuring the integrity of the brand for all end users.
Forms to be used will be mailed to all registered suppliers and need to be filled out and sent with the NVD form with the cattle.
These forms must be signed by the vendor or an appropriate representative.
