Quality Wool and Quality Livestock will be hosting two BredWell FedWell Workshops, an initiative of Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and Australian Wool Innovation (AWI) as part of their Making More from Sheep program.
The workshops will be held on the following days:
- Condobolin – Wednesday, April 19th 2017
- Manildra – Thursday, April 20th 2017
The workshops will be delivered by Dr Jason Trompf, Lamb Survival Specialist and Darren Gordon of Rural Industries Skill Training (RIST) who will give producers practical tools to optimise reproduction and profitability in their ewe flocks. Practical sessions include condition scoring, feed budgeting, ram rankings and ram selection. Follow-up courses in these areas will be offered for those wishing to further develop skills in breeding and nutritional management.
A participation fee has been introduced of $75 (inc. GST) per person to attend which covers the handout and catering. For more information or to book a workshop please contact Serina Hancock on 0403 570 823 or s.hancock@murdoch.edu.au.
