At the recent Shorthorn Beef AGM held in Sydney, Mr. Matt Ashby accepted the nomination for Shorthorn Beef President, assuming the role from outgoing President Mr. Jason Catts.
Mr Ashby is principal of the South Australian based Bundaleer Shorthorns and is a very well-known figure in the Shorthorn world.
Vice President for 2017 is Mrs. Liz Manchee, Yamburgan Shorthorns, Narrabri, NSW who has recently completed a Nuffield Scholarship and is also a very well-known figure within the Shorthorn breed.
New director to the Shorthorn Beef board is Mr. Nicholas Job, Royalla Shorthorns, Yeoval, NSW who will assume the role of Branches and Memberships Director. Other directors’ roles will be;

Mr. Ashby welcomed new director Mr. Nicholas Job and sincerely thanked outgoing President Mr. Jason Catts for his years of dedication and service to the Shorthorn breed whilst he was in the Shorthorn Beef Presidents role.
Whilst in the role, Mr. Catts has delivered many major programs, including the development of the Thousand Guineas program and oversaw a period of beneficial change within the breed. Mr. Catts will continue on the board in 2017, serving as the Technical Director.
