Young Angus cows and calves make $2630 on AuctionsPlus

Angus--8A stand out line of two to three-year-old Angus cows and calves from Hamilton, VIC made $2630 on AuctionsPlus last week.

These females are unjoined and ready to join to the bull of choice with sappy 90kg calves at foot.

Cattle numbers were slightly down from the previous week’s listing with a total of 11,470 head offered with  11,313 of these cattle were commercial stock coming from every state in Australia.
Another top line of cows and calves hailed from Keith, SA that made a cracking $2,500. This line of 2-3-year-old females have 1-3-month-old calves at foot, sired by Murray Grey bulls. Females are unjoined and can be joined to the bull of choice.

PTIC cows ranged from near and far with the top line making $2,325. This line of rising 4-year-old Angus line are from Mount Gambier, VIC and are heading across the border into South Australia to spend the Winter months. These cows are PTIC to Angus bulls with Welcome Swallow Angus genetics behind them which will continue to develop into proven breeders.

PTIC heifers were also in high supply with the top price hailing from Toobeah, QLD which made $2,520.

These rising 2-year-old Angus heifers are staying in the sunshine state for the Winter months and are also PTIC to Clunie Range Angus bulls. Another top line of PTIC heifers also came from the northern state – Goondiwindi, QLD. A line of 21-22-month old girls made $2,500 and are PTIC to Lawson Angus Bulls.

Exciting to see cattle listed from the Heytesbury Cattle Company this week’s Eastern States Sale with all steers being sold! There was consistent and strong bidding activity throughout the sale which is positive for other northern cattle producers.

The Rosedale Charolais Annual Bull Sale was interfaced online via AuctionsPlus this week with Anna Adams from AuctionsPlus attending the sale. The top priced bull was purchased online that made $16,000 with an average of $7,660. There were also 15 Charolais/Angus Cross/Composite bulls that had a top of $9,000 to average $7,660. The Charolais/Angus Cross/Shorthorn bulls had a top of $12,000 with an average of $7,250. AuctionsPlus had 43 online registered bidders online with 11 bulls being purchased online heading to three different states.

The Minnamurra Pastoral Company Speckle Park Bull Sale was interfaced online via AuctionsPlus today with 54 bulls offered and 50 commercial females. Anna Holcombe from AuctionsPlus attended the sale with AuctionsPlus successfully purchased 22 lots online. The top priced bull sold for $35,000 at the sale centre with the top online price making $14,000. The top priced female line made $2,000. AuctionsPlus had 97 online bidders that logged in for the sale with a total 253 online bids.
