Feeder heifers lifted 8c/kg while steers ranged from 312c to 364.2c and averaged 345c/kg for the medium weights at SELX.
Numbers fell and the quality was mainly made up of secondary yearlings which sold to the usual feeder and restocking orders.
Grown steers were very limited in numbers while the plainer grown heifers remained well supplied. Cows were back in volume. Not all the usual processors were operating. The market was strongly affected by quality.
Light restocker steers sold to 371c and heifers made to 321c/kg.
The trade vealers averaged 330c/kg. Feeder steers sold 10c stronger at the top end while the plainer cattle were firm to easier.
Feeder heifers ranged between 312c and 323c/kg. The few trade cattle were firm, selling from 310c to 320c/kg.
Prime grown steers and bullocks lifted 4c ranging from 281c to 292c/kg.
Restocker grown heifers were firm, to average 245c/kg. The medium weight 2 score cows were unchanged making 170c to 214c and heavy weights lifted 2c to 6c, selling from 202c to 242c and averaged 236c/kg.
