Merino producers will hear about the new drench, Zolvix Plus, at the NSW Worm Boss workshop on November 1.
WormBoss is an integrated program using a number of strategies to remove reliance on drenching and gain superior and cheaper control of worms.
When applied correctly, this program reduces deaths, production loss, drenches and labour.
The “cost of worms” can be decreased by up to 50% in a Merino enterprise.
This project has a number of regional co-operators who have applied the WormBoss program and share their progress and results through the workshops.
The WormBoss program is flexible. You can try it with just one mob at home, rather than your whole flock, so you can compare it against your normal management, and extend to more of your property and sheep as you gain confidence.
Come along to find out how you can stop drenching all summer.
