The record set back in 1981 by Warwick Daisy Lee at $34,000 was broken by the reigning IDW Supreme Champion Dairy Cow Bushlea Van Fernleaf 10, EX 93, this deep pedigreed 5 year old was consigned by Bushlea Farms owned by the Kuhne Family at Leongatha South, Vic.
She was purchased by a syndicate of Bradley Cullen and American partners including Cybil Fisher and Matt Senecal for the new record of $50,000, the underbidder was another Australian & USA partnership.
Next high selling Jersey at $8100 was the outstanding young cow Cedar Vale King Floss, EX 91 sold by EW & S Oslear of Gerringong, this show champion backed by noted Kenarie bloodlines was purchased Graeme Cochrane of Barrengarry, NSW.
The Champion of the Youth Show, Philmar FC Impress Georgie (Imp. ET. USA) a daughter of on EX 94 daughter of the World renowned Griffen sold at $8000 to C Moscript from M Flemming & B Kuhne.
Other noted Jersey sales included Bushlea Galaxie Fernleaf 14, a full sister to the 2016 IDW Intermediate Champion at $7000 selling to S Morrison of Cedar Party, NSW.
Top selling Holstein at $15,000 was lot 1 Lightning Ridge Solomon Angel (Imp.ET) a daughter of the famed EX 96 Ashlyns Angel, she sold a/c Declan Patten to M Matias of Portugal.
The double Master Breeder herd of J & C Gardiner sold Avonlea King Alana a 6 month old grand daughter of the EX 96 MS Goldwyn Alana at $9000 to R Philipzen of Paytens Bridge, NSW.
