Topping the IDW Jersey Showcase sale at $8,000 was lot 1, Darryn Vale Tequila Satin from Darryn Hourigan & Family of Milawa.
This young cow had classified max. 88 points for a 2 year old, had Won the Great Southern Challenge for 2 year olds and is backed by the renowned Big Hollow Daisy family.
Earlier in the week she had Won Grand Champion of the IDW National All Breeds Youth Show, she was purchased by long time Jersey enthusiast Carole Swindlehurst of Nar Nar Goon.
Next top lot at $7,000 was Cherrylock Colton Cocoa from B & J Gavenlock, this 8 month old heifer had won her class in the Jersey Heifer Show earlier in the day and is from an EX 91, 9,000 litre dam and has an EX 92 sister that has also won at IDW, she was purchased by Barker & Cole of Tasmania.
These same buyers also selected Pasadena Colton Jonquil a yearling from an EX Tequila dam bred down from Giprat Belles Jonquil, EX 94 at $4,250.
Wanstead Jerseys of Bookar paid $3,800 for the autumn calving heifer Warrain Valentino Empress 10 from J & M Cockerell, this lot was backed by an EX, 10,000 litre dam and 5 generations that av PI 123.
Other noted sales included Wallacedale Melvara Melanie 3, 87 @ 2 year old at $3,500, Rivendell Vanahlem Treasure at $3,400, Kaddy Vana Fantastic 4 at $3,300 and Wanstead Davids Ella at $3,250.
