A line of 50 PTIC Angus heifers sold for $1,210, aged 19-20 months, weighing 435kgs offered A/c ‘WB & LD Hotson’ of Chiltern, VIC and will travel across to Devonport, TAS.
Weaner & Yearling numbers increased 2,339 head to total 7,724. This increase was due in part to a doubling of yearling & grown heifer numbers to 2,436.
Weaned steers sold from 180c to 331c, to average 246c, down 21c on last week. The top price was achieved by a line of 95 Angus steers, aged 6-7 months, weighing 222kgs from Holbrook, NSW and will remain locally in Holbrook.
Weaned heifers sold from 148c to 280c, to average 206c down 38c on last week. The top price was achieved by a line of 15 Angus heifers, aged 11-12 months, weighing 428kgs from Waterhouse, TAS and will remain on the island travelling to Wynyard, TAS.
Yearling and grown heifers sold from 144c to 268c to average 190c down 34c on last week. The top price was achieved by a line of 25 Angus heifers, aged 16-17 months, weighing 421kgs from Tailem Bend, SA and will travel to Warrnambool, VIC.
A feature sale this week was the Team Te Mania Female Sale with 823 joined females offered across 28 lots.
Achieving a top price of $2,400 to average $1,339, and clearance was 56% across the sale. PTIC cows sold from $1,000 to $2,400, to average $1,292.
The top price was achieved by a line of 24 PTIC Angus cows, aged 4.5-5.5 years, weighing 757kgs offered by A/c ‘Wave Hills’ Hamilton, VIC and will travel to Crossley, VIC. PTIC heifers sold from $1,110 to $1,280, to average $1,406.
The top price was achieved by a line of 23 PTIC Angus heifers, aged 19-22 months, weighing 395kgs offered A/c ‘DA & S Chisholm’ from Adelong, NSW and will travel to Cobargo, NSW.
