The top price went to a line of 33-34 month old PTIC Angus heifers from Menangle, NSW.

NSW continues to produce the highest demand for young PTIC cows & heifers, with all lots selling to NSW buyers on AuctionsPlus.

Prices ranged from $810 to $1,260 and averaged $1,052, $150 down on last week.

The top price went to a line of 33-34 month old PTIC Angus heifers from Menangle, NSW.

These Wattletop and Kilburnie Angus heifers have been joined to Angus bulls, and are heading to Camden, NSW. Grown and mixed age PTIC cows sold from $765 to $1,300, averaging $1,022.

The top price went to a line of 220 Angus cows from Quandong, VIC. The cows are 5 years old, bred from Hazeldean and Karoo blood, have been joined to Angus bulls, and found a buyers in Wangaratta and Whittlesea, VIC.

This weeks offering of cows and calves sold from $1,010 to $1,650, and averaged $1,397, up $240 on last weeks average.

The top price went to a line of Angus cows & calves from Casterton, VIC. The cows are 3.5-4.5 years old, with 109kg CAF sired by Angus bulls, and found a buyer in Allansford, VIC. From Eumamurrin, QLD, a line of 69 Angus cows and calves sold for $1,010. The cows are 2-4 years old, have 179kg, 1-6 month old Angus CAF, and are heading to Roma, QLD.

Lighter steers under 280kgs found an 82% clearance. Prices ranged from 150c to 292c to average 228c, down 68c on last week. 94 weaned Angus steers from Walcha, NSW found the top price.

The steers weighed 219 kgs, are 8-9 months old and found a buyer in Bowna, NSW. From Goondiwindi, QLD, a line of 8-10 month old, 239kg Angus weaned steers made 254c, going to a buyer in St George, QLD.

From Corryong, VIC, 100 Angus steers sold for 275c to a buyer in Hamilton, VIC. The steers are 7-9 months old, weigh 265kgs and are bred from Alpine Angus and Dunoon blood.

Steers weighing 280-330 kgs were less sought after this week, selling from 283c to 355c, averaging 315c, up 18c on last week.

A line of Angus steers weighing 290kg from Goulburn, NSW found the top price. The steers are 8-9 months old, bred from Kennys Creek blood and will remain in Goulburn, NSW.

Feedlotters saw value in a number of heavier lines of steers this week, with 3 lines of Angus steers from Walcha heading into Southern QLD. One of these lines found a strong price of 346c for steers aged 8-9 months, weighing 290kgs.

Lighter heifers under 280kgs sold from 143c to 280c and averaged 231c, holding firm on last weeks numbers. Angus weaned heifers from Goulburn found the top price.

The heifers are bred from Kennys Creek blood, weigh 258kgs and are on their way to Wagga Wagga, NSW. From Goondiwindi, QLD, 74 Angus heifers returned the state’s top price of 221c. The heifers are 9-11 months old, weigh 175kgs and are remaining in Goondiwindi, QLD.
